Starburst Sayings Birthday Card & Glassine Gift Card Bag CCMC296

Pin It Now! Hey crafty friend, thanks for stopping by!  Today I'm using a color combo from Create With Connie & Mary: Pacific Point, Summer Starfruit, and Smoky Slate.  I knew right away I wanted to make a  birthday gift set.  A glassine bag gift card holder and matching card...
I cut the center strip to allow an opening for the starburst circles in the middle for a cool dimensional effect. The twine runs around the card and through the circle. I love these wooden embellishments, they are SO fun!
Oh, how I love the hardwood stamp!  Love, love, love.
Above is a little tip on making the wooden arrows longer...just snap it in half!  I glued each end behind the "celebrate" circle and no one is the wiser!  As you can see, I just kept layering pieces until I was satisfied with the look. It got a thumbs up from my 13yo son, so I'm happy!
I had plenty of scraps leftover, so I made one more card.  I actually like this one best.  Clean and simple. I'll probably use this one for a graduation card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out the rest of the samples at the CCMC site for inspiration on this fun color combo!

Eggstra Spectacular Sketch with Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Pin It Now! Hey crafty friend!  Time for a fresh Easter card. This one is done using Eggstra Spectacular, with the latest sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.
Pretty straight forward, but I had fun with the fresh spring colors.  See that cute floral print banner?  It's from the Birthday Basics DSP.  Who'd have thought? It's wonderful!

The center flower was stamped with Versamark after the Daffodil, and embossed with Iridescent Ice, but you can't see it very well.

Here's the sketch from HSS:

Head on over there and play along!  I'd love to see what you do!

Bunch O' Banners Thank You - HSS 181

Pin It Now!
This card features an abundance of banner pieces, from several different sources.
The focal point is a burlap banner piece from the Sale-A-Bration FREEbie, Heartfelt Banner Designer Kit. So many pieces in this kit can be used on a card or scrapbook layout!
Then we have the strip of banners across the top from Banner Blast (Sale-A-Bration 2014 also).  They're zig-zag stitched together to give them a little cohesion.
Finally, the sentiment is from the Bitty Banners Bundle, these are a snap to die cut with this coordinating Framelits.

And I finally have found an opportunity to ink up my new Dictionary stamp. I love this because you can have a vintage book page look, but it will match anything when you change out the color!
The colors were inspired by our latest color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments:
-Midnight Muse
- So Saffron
- Tangerine Tango
An unusual combo, if I may say, but I like they way it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

World Map Masculine Card

Pin It Now! Here's a card I made for a beginners' class last week.  It features World Map, a great background stamp.
A couple of strips in Night of Navy and Real Red with Tasteful Trim die, and a Chevron ribbon banner strip.
The Starburst Sayings and Framelits bundle was used here. I love the sentiments and the fun zigzag edges in this set!  Great for so many occasions!
